Race and Identity in Cape Town
Apartheid may be over for South Africabut major issues of racial inequality still persist in Cape Town, a city which many consider to be one of the last bastions of white privilege in the country. This audio slideshow provides interviews with several Capetonians addressing how race effects the workings of their city. Locations from slideshow include Robben Island, Century City, the University of Cape Town, and the District Six Museum.
American University Community Garden
American University’s environmentally-centered student group, Eco-Sense, founded this small but effective
community garden to promote locally grown food.
